We offer a free 100 gram transition sample of Easy-Flow build material, Easy-Melt Premium or Easy-Melt HT to save you money. These free samples will dilute and displace previous material and aide with the changeover to our materials without stratification of model materials (although there is no danger to the machine or components while transitioning from one material to “Easy” Materials, differing materials will result in parts built with differing material layers. This may create pattern issues, as materials from other suppliers will expand or handle differently then “Easy Materials”. We thus encourage the user to change over to our materials before running parts for their clients.
Although Solidscape® requires run temperatures up to 130 degrees Celsius to accommodate their material properties, a jet should never exceed 120 degrees Celsius as the piezo epoxies may decay early shortening the life of the Print Heads. Therefor using Easy-Flow, Easy-Melt Premium and Easy-Melt High Tech will increase the longevity of your printheads, lines and other heated components.
Here are some steps to take while transitioning into our build and support materials:
1) WATCH THE ROOM TEMPERATURE
Your room temperatures should never exceed 21c /70f for Easy-Melt Premium and 22c/72f for Easy-Melt HT. Easy-Flow Build material can be run at these temperatures as well.
2) CONTROLLER SETTINGS
Our materials like cooler temps. Please set the controllers NO HIGHER than 110c for Easy-Melt HT an Easy-Melt Premium Support Material and 120c for Easy-Flow Build Material. If you like, experiment with even lower controller temperatures. The lower the temperature settings on your controllers, the longer your Print Heads and Lines will last. This will also mean that the material on the build plate will cool more quickly, solidifying for better cutter performance.
3) COOLING TIMES BETWEEN LAYERS
We recommend increasing the cooling times for the patterns while using Easy-Melt Support materials by a 15-25 seconds. This may add slightly to the build time (usually just a few hours). You will make up that time when post processing is quicker and easier. It will also ensure your customers patterns will not be handled as much during post processing. You'll be happy to see how "Easily" our support material "Melts" away from your patterns making clean up simple.
